Gantha May, 2022 Meeting
Gantha held a physical meeting after about four years on 21st May, 2022 at Kotha, EMK center. The meeting started at 11am and concluded at 1:00 pm. The meeting was conducted by Niaz Zaman.
At the meeting Professor Niaz Zaman revised the names of Gantha members who are working on different writers. Some writers had to be omitted as there were no books available and no one chose to work on them. Weselected 60 women writers from 1900 to 2020 from Bengal. Those who have already presented are requested to send the written copy as soon as possible. Jackie Kabir and Jharna Rahman sang a Nazrul and a Tagore songs respectively.
Gantha also decided to meet physically every two months. So, the next meeting will be held online. Since there was no reading from the works this month, members are requested to read from their work in the next online meeting. Those who will read are:
1.Nurquamrun Nahar
2. Razia Sultana Khan
3. Jackie Kabir
The meeting concluded with a decision to hold the next meeting on 18th June at 6 pm. Niaz Zaman will send the link to the meeting.
